Dear James,
I want to write this letter before we finish our second HQH Event.
I have been extremely impressed with Myall Shores as an event venue and constantly find myself reviewing in my mind how fortunate we were to make the decision to hold these events here.
There are many factors involved that make me think this but here are a few:
- The magnificent surroundings of the resort, especially the bird life and the lake.
- The high standard of accommodation and the ability to cater for various budgets.
- The service delivery of your team has been exceptional, always friendly and accommodating, no matter what request we made or technical problem that needed solving. You need to be commended for assembling a fine team.
One person stands out foremost in our minds is your Chef, Todd Hodgson. He is without doubt a master chef!
We have been organizing events similar to this for many years and I can honestly say I have never encountered a chef who has even come close to the excellent effort and delivery provided by Todd and his team.
Every meal has been a pleasant surprise.
He has been a joy to work with in understanding our specific needs and converting that to our daily needs. It was Todd's understanding of our needs for all organic foods for this event that gave me the confidence to choose Myall Shores, of which we initially had a list of 16 Resorts to choose from.
I attach a letter from Paul Chek, one of the presenters, which speaks for itself.
Another plus to make note of is the always positive communications between your staff and mine which made preparing for this event much easier than we have ever found before.
HQH would like to rebook a similar series of events next year at Myall Shores which may also include an additional 3 day event. Judging from the success of this event we have a good chance of attracting a wider international group.
I hope to meet with you before we depart to discuss the calendar for 2008.

Dear Myall Shores Resort Management,
I would like to share my feelings regarding my experience with Todd, your Chef and your kitchen staff in general thus far in my stay here (I'm one of the two instructors for
HQH, who distribute my educational programs and courses in the South Pacific).
In all my years travelling the world, I have not yet found a Chef more willing to accommodate my students and myself. Todd is very passionate about his work and the flexibility and support he and his staff have shown us have made this a landmark event for the HQH staff, Dr. Oliver, myself and our students. The feedback from the students has been tremendous.
I can't say enough about Todd's food. It's so good in fact, that I've asked Greg Doherty to book us here again next year; I planned to take the year off but ... because I've had such a great experience here and can actually eat properly while here, I've decided to make my teaching part of my vacation time, provided I can be assured that Todd will be here to oversee the food service again.
Please accept my comments as "qualified", for I work all over the world and in your kit truly have a diamond of a man.

“It was fabulous! Accommodation was perfect--probably didn't need that many rooms and a few more folks could have shared due to the fantastic layout and each having their own bathroom. But it was just great! Tracy was so efficient with everything from the rooms to the conference set-up and the food. It couldn't have gone better. The only complaint I got was that we should have stayed there longer :) And I definitely agree. Looking forward to perhaps going up there on my own!
